Attorney for Stormy Daniels demands that Trump Organization preserve all documents pertaining to hush money paid to his client.

Courtesy of Politico:

The attorney for adult film actress Stormy Daniels has asked the Trump Organization to preserve records related to a $130,000 payment that President Donald Trump’s lawyer made to Daniels just weeks before the 2016 election.

In letters sent Thursday to the Trump Organization, First Republic Bank and City National Bank, Michael Avenatti, a lawyer for Daniels, asked that all documents connected to the payment be preserved, including emails and communications with Trump family members. The demand is part of a civil lawsuit Daniels filed this month seeking to void an October 2016 nondisclosure agreement in which she was paid in return for her silence about an alleged affair she had with Trump nearly a decade earlier.

Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, is one of three women suing Trump over his alleged sexual behavior. While the lawsuits are in their earliest stages, they threaten to embroil the president in years of litigation that could expose embarrassing details of his alleged sexual relationships, uncover evidence of possible hush-money payments and draw the scrutiny of federal campaign finance regulators. Ultimately, the president himself could be forced to testify or give depositions under oath.

Avenatti said Thursday’s letters are just the beginning.

By the way, Avenatti also posted this late last night on Twitter.
I have a feeling that is going to send a cold chill up someone's spine.

There were a lot of choices for this last post of the day, but I thought I would end with one about Stormy Daniels, because, just like Karen McDougal, I think that her story is going to prove very damaging to Donald Trump.

As well as to the Republican party.

There are some who will argue that Trump is inoculated from all of this, and that the proof of that is in the fact that he got elected even with all of those sexual assault allegations swirling around.

However my answer to that argument is that the Women's March was inspired by the fact that Trump was elected despite those allegations, and that the #MeToo movement actually grew out of this newly energized female activism.

In short, Trump's election was such a shock to our collective systems that it jolted people awake in a way they simply had not been awake before.

The result has been a changed atmosphere in which allegations of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and even gender inequality are taken FAR MORE seriously than they ever have been in decades past.

So in this new atmosphere these stories about Donald Trump's extramarital affairs, bullying by his attorneys, and attempts to buy women's silence is being viewed through newly attentive eyes.

That has created a powerful desire to somehow remove Trump from the White House, and to punish all of those who supported him during the campaign, and to especially punish all of those Republican politicians who stand with him today.

Yes Mueller's investigation may provide the evidence needed to start impeachment proceedings against Trump, but it will very likely be the politically active women in this country who will be the driving force to replace the obstructionist Republicans with Democrats who will actually it through.

And every time we read about Trump assaulting a woman, treating a woman like a prostitute, or having a woman bullied into submission, only serves to further inspire this women's movement to work harder to ensure that there will never again be a Misogynist-in-Chief in the People's House.

It also goes without saying that being the party which supported the Misogynist-in-Chief is not exactly an enviable position.

So like I said, these interviews and news stories, about women who were in some way wronged by Donald Trump, are simply NOT good news for the Republicans.

Karen McDougall's story and interview won't do anything because he so far hasn't bullied her to shut up and the payments were made by a Trump friend rather than Trump himself or Michael Cohen. Thankfully, the Stormy Daniels story has much stronger legs and perhaps even Summer Zervos may do more to bring this jackass down. I really hope these women empower more women to come forward if Trump has assaulted or bullied them.

OT?"Leigh Corfman accused Moore of forcing himself on her decades ago, when she was 14 years old. To manage the heavy “media scrutiny” of publicly making such claims, Corfman hired her attorney friend Eddie Sexton to represent her.
Shortly thereafter, Sexton was approached by two Moore supporters, offering him $10,000 to sign a statement discrediting Corfman, The Washington Post reported Friday

Those supporters, Gary Lantrip and Bert Davi, planned to release the signed statement to Breitbart News—the far-right outlet, then-overseen by ex-Trump adviser Steve Bannon, which acted as one of Moore’s most vocal media backers."
"""Lantrip and Davi approached Sexton because both were his clients in a separate and unrelated case. Additionally, Lantrip and Sexton were longtime friends. And on the Breitbart end, Lantrip and Davi had attended private Moore events, and personally knew Bannon, reportedly promising a cash-strapped Sexton access to then-Breitbart News chief Steve Bannon, as well as legal work on Bannon’s behalf in Alabama."

I am curious about Hope Hicks and Karen McDougall. McDougall dealt with employees of the Trump Organization. She liked and got to know his hired help. They helped to make arrangements and to take her to rendezvous.

McDougall seemed upset with Hope Hicks for denying McDougall's existence. Intimated that Hicks was a liar. Hick's job required she lie. I hope we find out if she lied or lies to Mueller or a grand jury.

How the Trump Organization operates is of interest. Karen McDougall can shed light on the parts about how he manages the women he screws. Harvey Weinstein had assistance from his friends and staff. Trump is not a lone predator or romeo.

...They were unaware that they were not alone. Throughout the course of the evening, their every movement was being watched: Outside Hicks’s apartment, at Gidley’s home, outside the restaurant, walking into the lobby of her apartment building. Each moment was documented in photos and video, even through the window in the back of the cab home. Hicks was being tailed by a group called Probe-Media, “an elite agency” that “deals in exclusive material and provides images and video footage and reconnaissance in a service uniquely tailored to meet our clients’ needs,” according to the company’s sparse website.

Probe-Media offers what it refers to as “a bespoke service” to “international news outlets, intelligence agencies and corporate and individual clients.” Perhaps by design, basic information about Probe-Media is difficult to locate. The o in its logo is a lens, and above the company’s name is an outline of a skyline in which the Statue of Liberty sprouts from the middle of a block of suburban houses and urban buildings. When I reached out through a form on the website, I received a response sent from an iPhone. “Yes it was us that got the pictures and yes they did lead to further events but the process how the shots were taken cannot be discussed as that’s why we get commissioned for our deep surveillance approach and discretion,” read another response. “Thank you for reaching out though, Kind regards, The team at Probe-media.”

Five days after the dinner, on February 1, grainy images of Hicks and Porter taken by Probe-Media were published by the Daily Mail, a tabloid based in the U.K.

These women are cashing in on an opportunity of fame and more fortune.

If their accusations are true (and there is no reason at this point to believe they aren't, lacking provided evidence to date), then what does this prove?

Seems that grown women had affairs with
Donald Trump and, not having kept up with the stories, at least some or all also benefited financially from it of their own free will. Now they are looking for more that opportunity has opened it's doors.

Sorry, but so far this seems like a lot of nothing. Salacious, but this is Trump. Is anyone really surprised? Of course the leftwing blogger world, and CNN which has become the Fox of the left, can't get enough of it. But in the end, doubtful this changes any of Trumps trajectory. Frankly he lives for this kind of stuff.

    https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/federal-lawsuit-against-daily-stormer-publisher-andrew-anglin-moves-forward_us_5ab42758e4b0decad0484c95

"Andrew Anglin, America’s most notorious neo-Nazi troll, can no longer hide from a lawsuit in Montana after the judge in the case determined on Tuesday that a federal court has jurisdiction in the matter.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah Lynch found that sufficient evidence exists that Anglin, the publisher of the neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer, had a legal presence in Ohio last April when the lawsuit was filed, and that his court therefore has the authority to hear the case. Lynch’s recommendation can still be reviewed by a district court judge.

For almost a year, Anglin has been on the lam in an attempt to avoid responsibility for urging his readers to direct a “troll storm” of abuse at Tanya Gersh, a Jewish real estate agent in Whitefish, Montana, who had become embroiled in a feud with the mother of Richard Spencer, a prominent white nationalist. Gersh and her family ultimately received more than 700 threatening and harassing communications. With the help of the Southern Poverty Law Center, she sued Anglin last April for invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of “emotional distress” and violating a Montana anti-intimidation law."
